Ticket prices for several popular high-speed rail lines will open a window for price increases in June.
Among them, since June 15, 2024, the Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway passenger dedicated Line Co., Ltd. has been operating on the Wuguang section of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway.IlluviumcryptobuyTrains with speeds of 300 kilometers per hour and above have announced an increase in fares, and the entire fare of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway has increased by about 20%. In addition to the price increase of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway, Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway passenger dedicated Line Co., Ltd., Shanghai-Kunming Railway passenger dedicated Line Zhejiang Co., Ltd., Shanghai-Kunming Railway passenger dedicated Line Jiangxi Co., Ltd., Shanghai-Kunming Railway passenger dedicated Line Hunan Co., Ltd., Hangzhou-Ningbo Railway passenger dedicated Line Co., Ltd. all issued an announcement on May 2 to raise the ticket price of its operating high-speed railway line from June 15.
Shanghai-Hangzhou passenger College has raised the current ticket price from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hangzhou East second-class seat from 73 yuan to 87 yuan, an increase of 19%.Illuviumcryptobuy.18%; Shanghai-Kunming passenger College has increased its route fares in Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Hunan. For example, the current ticket price of Hangzhou East to Changsha South second Class Block has been raised to 485 yuan, an increase of 19.75%. Hangzhou Ningbo Guest College has raised the current ticket price of Hangzhou East to Ningbo second Class seat from 71 yuan to 85 yuan, an increase of 19.72%.
According to the China Business Daily, 12306 website customer service said that from June 15, 2024, the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway will raise prices. With regard to the fare discount policy, customer service said that the discount floating strategy will be decided by the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway according to the season, passenger flow intensity and other factors. Passengers with specific discount standards can be informed through the page display when purchasing tickets on the 12306 website. Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway will not announce discount standards, discount time and other information in advance. 12306 website customer service stressed that if the ticket purchase page of the 12306 website does not show a discount, then the full fare of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway will be 553 yuan from June 15.
